How to use this calendar

Find the next date

“Coming up next” above shows the days ahead. For a whole year at a glance, the 2026 calendar lists every dated occasion month by month. Open any occasion for its date this year and the next few, and save a dated one to your phone’s calendar from its page.

Know which dates move

Fixed days such as Christmas or Independence Day never move. Festivals set by the moon, such as Diwali and Eid al-Fitr, land on a different date each year, and a few are only confirmed a day or two ahead. Those are marked “may vary”, and the calendar explains why.

Send something on the day

Every occasion page has a button that opens a card made for that day, with colours to match and words you can keep or change. You share it as one link on WhatsApp or anywhere else. If you are stuck for words, the message guides show what to write for birthdays, thank-yous, apologies and more. When a whole team or family wants to sign, start a group card instead.

Frequently asked questions

How are the dates checked?

Each date is checked against panchangs, government holiday lists and the bodies that set the day, and every occasion page shows the date it was last verified. Where good sources disagree, the page says so and explains why instead of quietly picking one.

Why do some dates say "may vary"?

Those days follow the moon. Lunar festivals can land a day apart in different cities, and Eid and Ramadan wait for the new crescent to be seen. Treat a "may vary" date as a good estimate and confirm it locally a few days before.

Is every occasion here a public holiday?

No. Most are festivals and observances that people keep without a day off. India has only three national holidays, and states decide the rest, so each occasion page says plainly whether it is a holiday and where.

How do I make sure I don't miss a date?

Every dated occasion page has an "Add to your calendar" link that saves the day to your phone's calendar. For birthdays and anniversaries, keep them in Your dates on Kehdoo.

My festival is missing, or a date looks wrong. What do I do?

Tell us through the contact page: the name of the day, where it is kept and how its date is set. Corrections from people who keep the day themselves are the most useful ones we get.
